They are a family, who have divided public opinion for generations, but it's a bit of an exciting year ahead for the Royal Family and the UK, two new royal babies and of course, the wedding of Prince Harry & Meghan Markle.
I'm a HUGE fan of the Royal Family and have seen massive changes over the years, but many people see them as a drain on the purse strings. Apart from it's history, what would the UK have to offer tourists if we didn't have the royal family? Not a bloody lot!!! They are great for the country whatever way you look at it, yes they get the best education, eat the best food, receive the best healthcare, can buy anything they want, but I wouldn't trade places with them, my life for life in a goldfish bowl, no thank you! They bring loads of money into the country, far more than I ever will and represent the UK excellently all over the world. I do think we only need the immediate royals though, the cousins, earls, viscounts, etc, can go and get a job at Tesco for all I care :)
Can the beautiful Meghan Markle tame our Jack-The-Lad Prince? He's had his moments over the years, to say the least, from smoking pot at school, to dressing like a Nazi, oh and who can't forget him gallivanting naked in Las Vegas - I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when his granny got wind of his misdemeanours - I wonder what was said!!!!
I don't think he needs taming, he comes across as the "lad next door", someone who you'd enjoy having a pint with, he's young and in love, something we can all resonate with, as long as the press leave them alone, I think they will be fine! Harry has already broken a royal family tradition at Christmas, he didn't go on the family shoot and that was down to Meghan and her Anti-Hunting views, she has my vote:). I look forward to watching his wedding in May, I've seen a few over the years, it will be good for the country to all come together, even if it is only for one day!!
GO HARRY - GO MEGHAN :)
Haha! I can only imagine what his granny must've said! Good read, thanks :)
lol thanks @begtodiffer - I enjoyed writing this post and I really would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when granny read the riot act :)
