Make Money Flipping Tonka Trucks: 3 Great Websites for Tonka Truck Identification

in #blog7 years ago

Have you ever considered buying and selling Tonka Trucks for profit? These toy trucks can be found at garage sales, estate sales, thrift stores, Facebook Market Place and you can sell them on platforms like eBay, Etsy (If 20 years or older), Facebook Market Place and local online auctions. One of the more challenging aspects to sourcing Tonka Trucks is that it can be difficult identifying the year of the Tonka Trucks you are considering buying. Today I am giving you 3 excellent online resources that will help you out in the field identify the style, grille, stickers, wheels and years of the Tonka Trucks you are about to invest in.

Now, these are merely guides for identification and are not intended to give you pricing information or even accurate pricing information as markets change monthly. As with anything you need to do your due diligence in researching the value of the item to ensure you have room to flip it for a profit. Something else to consider when using these guides is that condition is everything, as with any of these types of vintage toys, but also keep in mind that just because there may be rust or some condition issues does not necessarily mean there is no value. Research, research research.

1) Mightytonka.com is one of my favorite sites that I have referred to over the years. Diffidently the most detailed guide I have seen covering years from 1964-1997. Includes detailed information about wheels, logos, and grilles. Basically all the information you need to know to make an informed decision on your purchase.

3) This next site realpriceguides.com covers all other general Tonka vehicles from around 1957-1975. This is yet another great site to help identify some of those vehicles that can be rather difficult to find info on. Includes model numbers, pictures and original advertising information.
