Steps to staying healthy by working at home.

1.

Have a daily schedule. Even if youre lucky enough not to have much on it one day, make one! Even the small things you think aren't important help tremendously in getting things done.

2.

Make time to do some kind of physical activity. Whether it be a long, brisk walk with your doggie, or a hot yoga class... your body needs to move and to operate at your highest frequency, you have to give it the gift of activity. There is nothing worse for the mind and spirit than a stagnant body. All of our personal elements work in tune with eachother.

3.

Keep your friends close! Working for yourself doesn't mean working yourself to death. Make sure you make time to see your closest friends or family members because sharing time with people we love the most is 100% beneficial to a healthy state of being. Nurture your friendships and they will nurture you. It is more important to give love than to receive.

4.

If you have work to do and you work from home, but you live with your partner, roommates, even your pets,.... get out of the house to a coffee shop, library, or shared office space and do your work there. You'll be shocked at how much more productive you can be outside your own home. Often times there is just too much distraction at home and we can end up taking double the time to do half of the work. Chose your productive spaces wisely as well. There are environments that are especially conducive to creativity and productivity... find your space.

5.

Limit your screen time!! My phone shuts down all apps at 9pm each night and I love this feature. I also take note of my weekly average of screen time by use of a tracking app for wellness. The affects of excessive screen time are still in the works in terms of medical and wellness research. However, if you take a simple look around you it is easy to see the negative affects of screen time on our wellbeing.

I use my calls for walking around my home.office by using just a nice headset.

Makes me way more powerful

Sometimes I end up talking and walking the garden. ;-)

Thats a good idea too!

Good advise and workable too! Using your friends and family to add to your work schedule as well. Taking them out for coffee could be a break for you and a visit for them.

I always see to it that I walk around every after 30 minutes. Plus 1 glass of water every 1 - 2 hours. :)
