I woke up feeling super scattered this morning, like there are a million things I need to get done, I’m already behind, I’ll never get there, I’m a huge failure & disappointment. I spent the first part of the AM anxiously rushing from activity to activity caught up in this fear story.
But then I paused.
I recognized the dialogue playing in my head, & I sat with it. Instead of feeling like this pattern of thought is something else I need to cure for myself, I lovingly investigated it & simply allowed it to be.
In this “be better, do it first, get it right, have more” culture it’s so easy to fall into this trap. But the truth is there is no finish line. We have already arrived. In this moment all is well, always ok & manageable.
Living life to the fullest may have been sold to us as some pie in the sky, perfect body, powerful job, fancy vacations & constant adventures ideal, but that’s bullshit. When we are present to what is, we ARE living our lives to the fullest, regardless of what that looks or feels like.
Feel the pain, fear, anxiety, doubt, or whatever is there. Let your life look scattered & messy & imperfect.
But say yes anyway- yes to the moment as it is & as it’s not. Right here, right now all is well, you have arrived, & you are living your fullest life.
Life is everything about being present in the "present". this is because if you think about past then you will destroy your present and if you are present will be destroyed then obviously you will not have a better future.
we already know that life is 10% about what happens with us and 90% about what we react to it but according to me life is 0% about what we think and 100% about what we implement.
Nice post. I am learning this as well.
I freelance and it can be overwhelming, there's so much to learn and keep up with. I use the Wim Hof breathing method. It helps focus me, and the right course of actions for the moment becomes apparent.
We think that all these thoughts, fears, and aspirations are important to sort out but, really, once we take a minute to shut em down and be in the now, we are become far more aware of reality and what we want.
I think...
