So i had the inspecter come check out the old car...
He offered me half of what i wanted....such a disapiontment...
So this was my baby...
A 2liter mazda 3 individual manual petrol
Now shes old a 2006model with 300000km on the clock...
Shes held toghter very well nothing wrong with her except the radio stopped working due to a electrical fault....
Now originally the main offer i got according to its book value was R50 000.. about 3500 us dollars.
Now after the inspection he dropped the price to half that.... my heart sank.....
I inderstand.. the paint is fading and a small dents with heal damage she performs well she just looks old...
Its unfortunate i had some plans with the money to go study further maybe even finally invest into my steem power.... now ill have to work carefully with what i get....
Do my readers think its a fair price?
Or is it not worth the tyres its standing on?
With those paint problems the presentation of the car is not the best, the first thing a potential buyer will look at. You don't say where you are but I suggest compare what other Mazda 3's are going for in your country and the condition they are in, price it accordingly.
At the end of the day it is worth what the market is willing to pay for it, is the inspector going to give you money for it? I would suggest trying to sell it at around $3000 and let a buyer negotiate with you for a good deal so everybody wins. It might take a while to sell but be patient.
I know how you feel I recently had to get rid of my MX5 and regret it everyday. Good luck I hope you get a reasonable price for it.
Hi @gyro... so im pleased to say i had taken your advise and found a private buyer. Interesting tip most mechanics that work on your car are interested in buying your car. So im selling the car to my mechanic for alot more then i was getting from the inspector... all in all a happy ending
