Canadian girl moves to Germany, part 4

in #blog7 years ago

This is my last part, and what I would like to talk about for this last one is basically, what I like or don't like about Canada and Germany. The most important thing in my life is food. I'm sure a lot of you can relate. Well, in Canada there is mostly fast food restaurants, but that's the specific place I lived in.

Canada is a large country and there are many different places, so to be clear when I say Canada it's just the specific place I lived in. Back to my food topic, even though it's cool to eat fast food once in a while, all the time is not so great, and also I'm not a big fan of fast food. In Germany, there are many regular restaurants and food choices, and also bio food, food that's fresh and natural, that's more what I like.

One thing that's difficult to compare or choose where I like it better is school. On one hand, the school in Germany is a bit harder, you have to wake up earlier and etc.. In Canada, you get to sleep a bit longer and school isn't that extreme. But on the other hand, you learn a lot in the German school and you're finished with school in the 10th grade and go on to colleges and life, while in Canada you need to go through 12 grades and then college or immediately begin with life and work. All I can say about this topic is that there are positive and negative things about both schools in Canada and Germany.
Another topic is the roads. Here I have to admit, Canada has good ones, I mean not the quality, cause I've never seen such perfect roads than in Germany. I'm more leaning towards the formation.

In Canada, the roads are wider and always straight, while in Germany the roads are always with curves that sometimes get you car sick and very narrow that makes you wonder how truck drivers pass without a scratch.

The last topic I would like to bring up is the activities. For someone who lived in a small town in Canada and now lives in a small town in Germany, I have to say it's much easier to find something to do in Germany than in Canada.

There are a bunch of things I can compare but that would take a long time. It's just my opinion the best way to know what you like better is just to experience it yourself but otherwise.
I hope you enjoyed.

Thanks for sharing, I hope you enjoy your new life in Germany. At least it is one of the easiest of the European languages to learn - and you've already nailed the hardest - English!

Yes, English is a difficult language to learn. But otherwise thank you for your kind comment.
