The McDonald's Mix-Up Story

Poor Kid #1, Aira, was in a meeting with @mind-candy and @charlocked. Some two hours into the meeting (one hour way overdue), the three realized that it was about time they took lunch. Despite bringing with her packed lunch, Aira wanted to order some McDonald's as some sort of "after snack." She asked the other two girls and they were good with the idea, too.

While waiting for the order, the three girls stayed in the conference room and chatted. Both Aira and Charlocked had packed lunches with them and ate them with gusto, while Mind-Candy made do with an orange.

Some half hour passed, and the security guards -- who acted as the agency's receptionists, too -- weren't calling theirlocals.

Ah, thought Aira, perhaps the delivery boy got caught in traffic? But what about [Mind-Candy]? She hasn't eaten proper lunch.

Another half hour passed, and Aira was getting impatient. Charlocked asked the Division Assistant if the guards called yet. They have not.

Just then, one of their system admins said that she saw a McDonald's delivery guy by the stairs, some 30 minutes ago. Aira, Charlocked, and Mind-Candy were understandably "shookt"  (re: see what does shookt mean). They hastily made their ways down the stairs.

"Has a McDonald's delivery guy arrived?" Charlocked asked. The guards shook their heads and the three girls were so confused.

The context: a workmate said she saw a delivery guy. The division assistant said no one called the division. The guards said that they did not see any delivery guy coming.

The girls walked back to their office, and was surprised to find their orders neatly placed in the common area. Everyone was laughing, while the girls were so confused. The guards said there was no delivery guy. Their workmate said there was. The division assistant said there was no phone call.

But there was food, exactly how we ordered them, in the common area.

Uhm. What?

"V, explain yourself!" said the division assistant, laughing.

All three of the girls looked at Sir V for explanation and he laughingly retold the story. Apparently, he saw the delivery guy and was told that the delivery was for a person named "Aira." In the office, there was another person whose name sounded close to Aira, named Hayla. Sir V misheard the name, paid the meals, and took the delivery to Ms Hayla.

Ms Hayla was napping then, and was in for a surprise when she found meals that were good for three people sitting on her desk.

Sir V then quipped, "I was judging her then, thinking how could one person possibly eat a meal that was good for three people?"

The girls almost had half the mind to not pay Sir V for the meal, but they were kinder than that. *insert proud smirk here*

Sort:

If I were Sir V I will not accept the payment... Lolz buti nlng di ako si Sir V 😂😂😂
