In most situations, a very loud and heartfelt "Bastos Ka!" works well to shut up catcallers specially when there are other people around who can hear it. They don't want to call attention to themselves (and what they're doing) so they usually shrink back after that.
Do take self-defense lessons just in case.
That loud and heartfelt "Bastos ka!" failed me the first time when my seatmate in the jeepney I was in inappropriately touched me and no one seemed to care (either they could care less or they just don't believe me). I was 16, and a freshman in college. Instead of the guy, I had to be the one to get off the ride. It was pretty discouraging, to be honest. 😕 But I guess that's an isolated case LOL.
