Iguana is a type of lizard that lives in tropical Central America, South America and the Caribbean islands. These lizards were first described by an Austrian animal expert, Josephus Nicolaus Laurenti in 1768.
Iguana itself has very many species, there are about 3 species of iguana species in the world with its distribution to the Asian continent. Here are the types of iguanas that are commonly found:
GREEN IGUANA
Green Iguana is a reptile that has the Latin name Iguana Iguana with the order Squamata, often found in the rain forests of North Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean Islands, and South Brazil, precisely in tropical and sub-tropical regions.
RED IGUANA
As the name implies, this type of iguana is dark red to orange. Red Iguana is widely maintained in Indonesia. Its body shape is similar to Green Iguana, it's just that the color is dominated by red.
BLUE IGUANA
Blue Iguana is a type of reptile that has a gray to bright blue body. Blue Iguana has the Latin name Cyclura Lewisi which comes from the Iguanidae family, and is often also called by the name "Grand Cayman Blue Iguanas".
