Meet Chowder, the 5-year-old potbelly pig who lives with five rescue dogs and his human, Shelby Madere, in California.
Shelby rescued Chowder from a slaughterhouse at 4 months old. She says it took a while to gain his trust, but now he knows he's loved.
"He's got me completely wrapped around his hooves," she said.
It didn't take long for the dogs to accept Chowder into their pack. To them, he's not a pig - he's their brother.
And Chowder thinks he's one of the dogs.
cheers for this lovely lucky piggy ! cheers for Chowder ! Pigs are intelligent way beyond what we can imagine and did you read this excellent novel written by Werber Bernard : "the father of our fathers" ? it is talking about pigs and their "human like" nature. thank you for this excellent post !
