MOKA BROS - BRUNCH IN BEIJING

in #blog8 years ago

My first day in Beijing was a busy one! My plan du jour was to:

Pretty solid motto, might I say. My actual plan of the day was the following: Get up early, go for delicious Breakfast with Matilda, and go discover the chinese countryside. Like I said, pretty busy… but not unachievable.   So I got up, freshened up and jumped into a taxi, heading towards my beloved Sanlitun area. I hopped out and straight to Moka Bros, where Matilda was already waiting for me.

Moka Bros has motivational quotes on all the walls.

Even when using the bathroom, you feel…

Moka Bros’ menu is equally as amazing as their interior. We were either really hungry or easily persuaded by the menu, because we both went with two options. We started out with energizing drinks: Matilda’s choice of energy was a lovely cup of cappuccino.

My choice of energizer was the Berry Cool… which refreshed me with flavours of banana, blueberry and raspberry smoothie. Matilda continued her brunch with some Bro’Nola.

Did you get the name twist of that one…? Granola but.. the (Moka) Bro version! Genius, I said.

Which is what Matilda said about her next dish – the Waffles.

I started my brunch with something sweet too: some Porridge with bananas, shaved almonds and maple syrup.

Then I continued on a more savoury path: a delicious cheesy broccoli mushroom omelette.

We munched and giggled and stuffed out bellies to oblivion. Then it was time for me to Kick Some Ass and do discover some more of China. I tear-eyedly said my Goodbye to Matilda, hopped into a car and sped off into the China countryside.

But not before I managed to snap a picture next to the baddest quote yet. Hashtag Swag!

Love, Rosalina
