Hello everyone, my name is Denis Fabián, and I'm a student. I'm 17 years old, and I come from Slovakia. I was born on the 21st of august in 2005 in Rožňava. I spent the first 14 years of my life living in Dlhá Ves, but In 2019 I moved to my father in Plešivec and I still live there. I have two dogs, a Yorkshire, which I almost grew up with, and a border Collie. In my free time I mostly spend time with my friends, or in the gym.
I'm currently attending Secondary Vocational School of Information Technologies in Košice, where I'm studying intelligent technologies. I really like it there and I can see myself working in IT in the future. I am actually in Vienna right now as I'm writing this. We are staying here for three weeks. I had the opportunity to participate in a program called Erasmus+. It's a program where students travel abroad and "work" for companies which are in the industry that the students study. I think it's great for students because they can gain some work experience for the future and also improve their ability to speak some other languages. These are also the two main reasons which motivate me to work here and provide the best outcome I can. I want to gain some experience working in IT, working in teams, finishing our tasks on time and to improve my English. I'm really excited to see the results and the difference at the end.
Let's talk about my experience so far:
We arrived here on Sunday at around 5pm. It was a good 6-7 hour drive. When we arrived, we checked in at the hotel and immediately started unpacking. The rooms are actually very good, and the bathroom is amazing. After about 30 minutes, we met downstairs to talk with the
teachers. We went for a walk to take a look at the closest mall and to find some bus stops to use later. The next day, which was yesterday, we met our coordinator, and our tutor. We are divided in 3 groups so not everyone has the same tutor, but I am very satisfied with our tutor. We had an interview, where we had to talk about our motivations and our goals for the next few weeks. After that, every one of us had to "join" a group to work on the project for the week. There are 3 groups, A, B, and C. I got in the third group. After we finished me and my friends went to the mall to buy some food and ask about some gyms in the area. Later in the evening we took some photos and that was all for yesterday.
