My wife is an artist. She can turn anything into a work of art. Since the beginning of this week she has been busy designing and sewing a foot mat using different colours of wool. She took an ordinary cloth, cut it into the desired length and breadth, the size that she saw was best for a mat and she turned it into this piece of art that you see in this picture.
She started this project about a week ago. In the beginning I did not understand what she was doing. When I asked she told me that she was doing something that was going to keep us both very warm during winter. Naturally I assumed that she was going to knit us sweaters or something similar to that.I asked her why she would use so many colours for sweaters. She then responded by saying that she was not knitting a sweater but rather any food mat.
We have developed this working environment in our sitting room. As I am busy on steemit she is busy knitting her mat. It took days for her to complete it and now that it is done, it's one of the most beautiful things I've ever laid eyes on. The vibrant colours create this gorgeous contrast and her patterns I just superb.
She wants to start knitting another one and she asked me how would a black colour look amongst other colours? I honestly responded by saying that winter is depressing enough as it is so adding a depressing colour such as black to a vibrant and colourful mat will ruin the atmosphere and feel that it will bring during winter.
Winter will be much more bearable seeing all this display of colour first thing in the morning when we wake up so black is just a terrible colour to include.
She is always designing interesting things and she always asks for my input before and after her process.I do compliment her on everything she does. I think that I should at least include one post per week of everything and anything she does; be it cooking or knitting or styling her natural hair or trying on new makeup or anything for that matter.
She always finds a way to be creative in anything she does and I would like to share that with anyone who is interested.
Any-who this is all from me today. Like I mentioned earlier in my first post titled A visit to the doctor's office, I am not feeling well today hence I gave my GP a visit. But I had to fulfil my duty and write a second post of the day for my fellow writers. I believe that this is what has come to be expected of me and I could not disappoint. Once again no matter how sick I am my WHY is stronger than my illness and therefore I can still work.
