7 Secrets to Write Catchy Headlines and Blog Titles

A great headline post title can be the difference between having your post widely read and shared across the internet. Your blog post title is a marketing tool in itself. It is what will appear in search engine results, links, in archives, and on social media sites. It's a good idea to spend sometimes anf find a good ones.

Post title is more important than the actual words of the post.

2. Start your blog post with a number
  • People prefer to click on title with number because they can to scan through all the key points on the list
  • It also been proven that people prefer title that starts with an odd number over an even number.
3. Why Superlative?

Adding a single superlative to the title increased the click-through rate producing emotional response.

Positive Superlative:

  • Greatest
  • Free
  • New
  • Best
  • Better
  • Important
  • Amazing
  • Remarkable
  • Sensational
  • Unique
  • Secret
  • Simple

Negative Superlative:

  • Worst
  • Never
  • Bad
  • Avoid
  • Stop
4. Using The exact keyword phrase
  • Keywords phrase that you identify in your KW search: "Tips For Steemit Newbies"
  • Title= 7 Amazing Tips For Steemit Newbies
  • Using the exact Keyword phrase, will show up your post when people do search for "Tips For Steemit Newbies"
5. Use sentence case for your post title
  • Sentence case: 7 Amazing Tips For Steemit Newbies ( High-performance)
  • Captials: 7 AMAZING TIPS FOR STEEMIT NEWBIES ( Mid-performance)
  • Lowercase: 7 amazing tips for steemit newbies ( Low-performance)
6. Search engine indexing
  • If you care about google, better to know that cuts off title after 70 characters when the search is done on Computer and between 40 to 54 characters on mobile.
  • To avoid cut off. the title should between 55 and 70 characters or less than 40 characters.
7. Address readers in your Steemit post title

Talk directly to your readers by using words "you" and "your" in your title

Hi @alignment good question. I can answer saying, that the scope of following all points is getting the best click-through rate that generates traffic and interest. It also a good strategy to be indexed by Google and pops-up on search. If I've missed something, comment below please.
