Why you should write down your goals?

in #blog7 years ago (edited)

Normally when we are imagining our goals we are using only the right hemisphere of the brain which can make us lazy or extend our plans for long.
On writing goals, you are giving an indication to the brain to come into action. This indication can be easily imparted by writing down your goals.

Our brain consists of a reticular activating system or RAS which is a small group of cells that bring about the communication between the left and right hemisphere of the brain.

Writing goals serve to activate it in a way that it filters out information from our surroundings that are helpful to lead us to our goals.
For example, if you are planning to buy a blue car you will start noticing it more in your surroundings.

This is RAS in action.

People can write a thousand words everyday doesn`t mean anything unless you act upon them.

Just do it once instead of writing and talking about it all the time!

obviously, nothing in this world can help a person if he/she is not proactive to implement it. Writing down goals (for those who are willing to work)serve to give a clear and concise outlook rather than thousand vague ideas. And when you are clear you can easily become receptive to inspirations, people, and resources that can help achieve your goal.

All depends on the person in how they turn their vision into their reality. It`s like when a person is learning something new. Everyone has their own little way of improving themselves with the learning process. Some people like to write, others like to record and listen through an audio device or other people prefer to watch by visual either through a laptop or television!
