Rewards often depend on how many people have you on auto-vote rather than those who actually visit the post. I do well from that as I have got to know a lot of people Steem who came over to Hive. It is quite possible a lot of your followers are inactive on Hive and probably on Steem too. Most of mine are for sure.
Those auto-votes are nice, but I really value good comments on my posts to get some interaction going.
It looks like I may be your biggest supporter on Hive :) I am using up votes on anything that comes up on my Steem feed, but I have much less SP now.
The fact is that complaining about lack of support when you rarely comment on the posts of others will not get you much sympathy. You cannot take it for granted. I know you are busy on other platforms and time is limited. It's up to you to decide if the blockchains are worth your time.
Mate, firstly I appreciate your long-standing support however I have to disagree with you. I had lots of interaction on Steemit and yet on only one occasion did my rewards for a post rise into double figures. I monitored myself and set a target of Upvoting a minimum of four posts every day, seven days a week. I also set myself a goal of curating a minimum of four posts per day, every day. I did that for about two months solid and my rewards did increase, well of course it would, you could curate a picture of a gnat's bum and you'd get rewarded but my intermittent posts are generally only upvoted by yourself and a hardcore of six or seven who are kind enough to look out for my input.
To be honest the post isn't actually a complaint about lack of rewards. It's an observation on the discrepancy between Hive & Steemit given supposedly the same followers of mine are on both platforms. A cynical person might look at that discrepency and argue: "Why waste your time on a low return when you can make three times as much elsewhere?"
Having said that, I wouldn't, simply because their wysiwyg and preview is horribly broken.
Okay, so you did try. Looks like your Steem votes are largely automated. Over 1000, but most are almost insignificant. They may be following what the SBI bot votes on. But of course you only make real money if you get some bigger supporters. We lost a few whales in the transition to Hive, but there are some good curation projects with a lot of HP.
If you look at the trending Steem posts it seems to be all about buying votes and that is not happening so much here. It seems Steemit and Justin are quite happy with that, especially if it's their Asian chums. Meanwhile anything I post gets flagged to nothing, but then I was winding them up.
I do find your posts interesting as you are a better writer than most, even if I disagree with your opinions. If you can get the Wordpress cross-posting to work better it will help.
I've had some good results with Raspberry Pi posts as some of the whales like that kind of stuff. Just have to get their attention with the right tags or maybe post in a community.
I may have only been able to give you $0.01 vote but you deserve far more recognition for that reply.
If a 1000 bots gets me into double figures, bring it on. 🤣
Seems I got your post some attention, so I hope the responses are useful. Better than bots.
As I say in my footers: Repostings are worth their weight in gold.
