Here's a true story that I am morally obligated to tell you......
All started with me receiving an email notification of a college workshop for my son taking place today. The purpose of this college workshop is to help prep high school students with financial aid info for when they are ready to attend college. So when I went to my pick up my son from school today curiously I asked how was the college workshop, then my son went into details what was taught at the workshop and also that it was boring as hell.
Here's a list of what was taught at the college workshop:
1- It is good to borrow loans.
2- When it's time to pay the loan back that it's best to pay it back slowly.
ARE YOU FUCKIN KIDDIN ME?????!!!!!
YES! You read it right, it is good to borrow as much loan as possible and pay loan back slowly as possible! I wonder who sent these goons to our schools show our children how to be broke???? Could it be the banksters???? OF COURSE IT IS!
This reminded me of an orientation I went to when I was a freshmen at a University. I vividly remember there were all these booths setup from many different companies/organizations trying to get memberships from newcomers. I also remember that there were bunch of credit card companies there as well, such as; VISA, MASTERCARD, AMEX, DISCOVER etc etc.....they were all there.
Now I want you to put two and two together for a sec......freshmen in college about 18 or 19 yo with no financial IQ whatsoever and a credit card limit of $5000 with no current or previous job experience. Can someone say PREDATORY LENDING?
The point I am making here is the system is totally rigged against you since the day you were born. These banksters are everywhere and they will stop at nothing. They have infiltrated virtually every segment of our society from our education system , schools , media sources and is almost impossible for us to escape from these predators.
Don't buy what you can't afford is the code I live by. I never was one to follow the crowd. I use the credit card for "my" convenience, never pay interest. Raising your standard of living by going into debt is fine till you can't pay the interest.
"You can afford anything, but you can't afford everything"
good for you! If you follow the crowd you will be broke.
I recognise this from when I was in college in Holland, these government studyloans they tey to force you on sounds like they are giving you free money.
They forget to tell you it is held against you when you go for a mortgage. And all those young souls are ao happy with the monthly cash.. Its disgusting!
you are right! It is disgusting and they are preying on our children......
Wow... that's some shitty financial advice they gave to students. Not having debt is freedom.
you are absolutely right!

The biggest tell of all of this is that we aren't even called Citizens anymore....
We're referred to as Consumers. Our economy is based on our ability (a combination of our desire and our means) to consume - to constantly spend money. As our means have been reduced through stagnating wages, increasing costs in healthcare and education, we have been offered the teet of the lender. In order to keep the music going we must now live beyond our means.
A citizen thinks - about their roles and responsibility, about their actions and choices, and about those around them. A consumer is simply sold what they are told they want, whether it's a car, the American Dream, freedom, fuck, we are even sold the idea that our votes are our own and that they matter.
The truth is we have been bought, in pretty much every way.
u are absolutely right!
