Amen, People expect everything to be handed to them. We have lost our work ethic. Great Quote!
Thanks buddy!
I think they both go together and that one is no good without the other. They both have equal weight in all that is good in life. It is tough for the Microwave generation to understand waiting on anything. But studies have proven that delayed gratification makes you healthier, smarter, and more successful.
Awesome Quote

Yo me voy siempre por la Option 1 may never come true. It makes me work harder and do my best to get the results. That is a very nice post. It make us think up twice before we do.
You are very correct @tradewonk, thanks for this wonderful post
I think option 1 is better. I Resteemed the post. I want to see what my friends like?
I was looking for a sign to stop procrastinating and here it is.
Actually, I think that both are true, @tradewonk :)
The first applies to when it is necessary to wait, when things are out of our control, and we grow in patience, strength or faith through waiting.
The second refers to what is within our hands to change, when it is necessary to be active and work hard or else miss out on opportunities.
By association, I think of 2 other quotes that are appropriate, here:
"Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, And wisdom to know the difference."
-Niebuhr
as well as
"The opposite of a fact is falsehood, but the opposite of one profound truth may very well be another profound truth." - Niels Bohr
Have a wonderful and inspired weekend, Yahia (Egyptian poet)
PS - If you're interested, here are some motivational sayings of mine, from my forthcoming book, Where Epics Fail
Definitely, option 2 is the right choice. As they say, "No food for lazy man". Thanks for sharing this lovely post @tradewonk. Keep doing this great work

Sometimes waiting is important... but not when you're using as an excuse to not do things that need to get done in order to move forward. Very good quote.
This is really motivating
