Smartphone Dependency and Feelings of Loneliness Go Hand in Hand

Put the phone down from time to time

and start valuing the moment you have in front of you.

Smartphone dependency and feelings of loneliness go hand in hand.

And these insulating sensations do not always wait to manifest before you are alone,

for even when you spend time with your friends,

each of you stirs on a handheld display instead of interacting with each other.

Look up, people!

That is such an important message. It's so sad to see all the people drifting through life in a cell phone trance. Was it meant to be a pun about hand in hand, as in phone in hand?

The new technologies deprive us of the beautiful moments with our friends and family @tradewonk. We not only depend on smartphones but we have become more manageable and stupider. Social networks have made banal people famous dear friend

how much reason in a post, good words, greetings!

Thank you!

Really motivational quote thanks

Thank you

Feels like a contradiction to even comment on this post with my phone, but this absolutely so true. Technology isolates, social media pushes us further apart. Watch the movie Her if you haven't already

Thank you

I totally agree. I remember I went to a group dinner and it was a waste of time.. after waiting so long for the food I also had to wait for everyone to take a pic of the food im about to eat and everyone was deep in their phones so we hardly get to have a good convo

Its very true. Sometimes we get so caught up because communication today and our jobs require the use of our phone so much. But we also ought to never forget the human touch, meaning person to person communication.

Great advice. As amazing as technology is. It can be life sucking.

Well said sir @tradewonk smartphone make people to get into virtual world....the presence of human being are neglected

I intentionally “forget” my phone at work some weekends. It’s liberating knowing that no one can get ahold of you every second of the day. People always say “what if there is an emergency?”, most of the times these emergencies are picking up some ice cream while you are out. On the slim chance it’s a life changing event I’m happy to be in blissful ignorance for a little while longer

Great post And worth a read
Thanks you so much

I don't think it's fair to always blame our lack of personal interaction to the people around us to the technology we use everyday. I believe it is just a matter of knowing what to prioritize. If we value the people around us then we would make time for them, regardless of whatever gadgets we own or use. Just saying. :) Nice post. Really thought-provoking.

People fail to realize, that you can only spend your time once.

Every minute you spend staring at your screen is a minute of life that has passed you. Life going on right around you.

You ca never get that time back...

Look Up!!! If you keep looking down at your "handheld display" you will never see what is in front of you!

Thank you @tradewonk ...Steem On

I totally agree with this one.

No time to write this message. Must put phone awaaaay....
