Church this Sunday morning
So I went to church this morning andhad a wonderful experience! See church Works for me like this.. I only go every now and then. The reason for that is I have said in previous posts that I am not a religious man, I am a spiritual man( I believe that God exist, but I believe the church and ”religion“ is man Made, and with that comes man mistakes!)
So when I feel he calling to go to church I normally expect something amazing out of the service! Infect if there is not something amazing, I am very shocked!
Today was no different I headed to church (last minute) and when I arrived they were bringing a guest speaker to the stage. The pastor started in on how this speaker had converted from the Muslim faith to the Christian Faith! I was a little In shock if I must be honest.. because with all the hate and everything going on against muslims, I thought “this dude is a ballsy guy!”
How His Story Changed my life!
This gentleman walked onto the stage and started cracking jokes about how we should not worry he is not a jihad kinda guy. As he talked his story brought a tear to my eye. i won’t get into it much, but he talked about how people In the Middle East that are Muslim for the most part do not know Christianity, and that all they know is that it is evil!
I sat there and listened to is story and how he went from a “radical Muslim” to someone trying to escape Iran because of he decided to become a Christian, (if you leave the faith and serve any other god besides Muhammad, you will be killed) ... when he finally reached the UN he was interagated for (I believe) 2 years before they would allow him access to the United States! I couldn’t help but want to just hug this guy!! His story was so amazing that I had to pick up his book (it was free so I said sure! Hahaha)
I would encourage all of you to try and find a copy of this book! The guy ended his story by saying one thing and that was (I am emphazing here) “If you want to talk to someone about your religion, do it out of love. Do not force it on anyone, if it wasn’t for a friend telling me about him becoming a Christian in a way that did not feel like a personal attack I probably would have never went to that church And gave myself to Christ!”
I want you all to know alot of the posts I write as I am sure you have seen is a lot about motivation, my photography and my faith! I try not to force my faith on anyone, but I do know that through my Near Death experience there is life after death!
i agree with the speaker when he said “It is great to have this gift of salvation, but it won’t mean a thing if you don’t share this gift with those willing to listen!“
So as always if anyone wants to talk I am always available on here as well as on Facebook! (My link is in my bio!)
So in closing the reason I am posting this is because I have made the decision to go into the ministry! I am very excited, don’t know how it will happen (Don’t have much money, hahaa!) but I know this is what i have been called to do!! So I will leave it at that all and all it has been a great great day!! Hope everyone has a great week!
And
GO BRONCOS!! Hahahaha!

Wow! Great story! I kinda want to stand up and applaud, but I'm also curious about how you landed at such an extreme decision just from this morning's message? What does going into the ministry mean to you? How does that play out? Just curious.
I have been contemplating it for a couple years now. I went to a Christian college in Kansas for a year 6 years ago and let certain circumstances determine me being there! The ministry this guy went to was the one I have been thinking about going to. So it is a long story just got the confirmations I have been looking for.
Aha! Now that makes a bit more sense. Excellent. I support the cause and cheer you on in this adjustment!
Thanks @stonemaiden I just feel like the Christian faith is being attack more and more these days from both outside the faith as well as inside the faith, because of the actions of a select few. I just feel like it is my calling to share my testimony and help people find this amazing gift of salvation
There are plenty of reasons for discontent, some of them quite valid. And attack is really nothing new if you look back through history. Regardless, what is true will continue to shine forth. Your story, spoken honestly, will land where it needs to land and effect change where God has planned for that seed to grow.
I agree! I am just tired of seeing all the attacks and hatred toward the Christian faith and just siting here doin nothing! I know my story is gonna change lives.
