Elephant Dies After LSD Injection, Robin Williams, and New Flying Cars

1. Elephant Injected With LSD Dies (Erowid, Article)

"The 7000-pound bull elephant named Tusko was injected with a huge dose of LSD (297 mg) into one buttock with a dart rifle. Five minutes later, the elephant collapsed and went into convulsions."

This is a ridiculous amount of LSD. A low dose amount for a human would be around 100mcg, this elephant was given close to 300,000mcg.

"Their stated intent was to determine if LSD would induce "musth", a naturally occurring condition in which elephants become violent and uncontrollable. After a series of events, the elephant died."

That sounds like a terrible idea. Let's see if we can make this elephant destroy everything. What if this was a success? Were they planning to use elephants in combat?

"The primary question is whether it is reasonable to extrapolate anything about LSD's lethality on the basis of this experiment. Controversy centers on whether a fatal mistake in scaling was made when calculating the elephant's LSD dose, or whether the elephant died from the massive amounts of thorazine and barbiturate that were injected into his ear in an attempt to counteract the effects of the LSD overdose."

It's unclear what really killed the elephant, but it is clear that a far lower dose should of been used in the first place.

2. Terrible Tales of a Lizard-Smoking, Blood-Drinking Satanic Cult (Vice, article)

“Take a bath,” Synyster said. “Wear black clothes and some perfume. Bring five candles, some incense sticks, a silver chalice, a small bell and a shaving blade."

If you see these items in someones shopping cart, you know where they're headed.

"Synyster and the other the young men I met in Aligarh claim to have dug corpses out of cemeteries, given each other human skulls as birthday presents, and drunk blood from these skulls."

Hmmm, do what you gotta do to express yourselves, but don't do that^.

The problem with talking down on a satanic cult is that you may one day find yourself in a room covered with tarp tied to a table surrounded by 12 people with blades, silver chalices, and small bells.

3. Robin Williams: Come Inside My Mind (2018) Official Trailer | HBO (YouTube)

I'm super excited for this. There will definitely be tears :(. He's one of my favorite people to exist in this simulation of ours.

4. We took to the sky in Kitty Hawk's flying car (YouTube, CNN)

Love the origin of the name. The Wright brothers first took flight in Kitty Hawk, NC in what they called the Flyer. The company is Kitty Hawk and this flying contraption is called the flyer. The only thing that is annoying is that everyone is calling it a flying car, but it is much closer to a human piloted drone.
