I'm not sure about everyone here, but as of the past month I've been bombarded with
"cryptocurrency this",
"bitcoin that",
"Oh you've got to jump on this new coin, it's going to take off"
It seems 2018 is paving the way for the crypto market. More and more it's becoming a term that people are familiar with.
Surprisingly I opened up my email and saw a well-known company in Australia holding numerous cryptocurrency trading events.
I've overheard conversations on the street where people are discussing the market.
I've witnessed real life examples of how crypto trading can buy you a house and allow you to live money-free.
Even old-school generations are beginning to allow the curiosity of the crypto market to unfold in their minds.
It is only inevitable that once people begin to ride to cryptocurrency train, they will then migrate to the world of Steemit. Leaving the blood-sucking social media worlds to a second place spot in user experience.
This in turn will have a positive impact for the price of Steem, and for the already existing users.
So, what are your predictions for 2018?
Will the Crypto world take off?

I would say get used to it unfortunately I agree there is already crypto coin new release fatigue. Speculation in here with some of these makes penny stock investing look like buying bank certificates of deposit. I am new to steemit, about three weeks into it, and the story backing steem dollar reassures me much more so than so many of these other currencies popping up. There were be GREAT CONSOLIDATION, in many of these failing, being forgotten, being bought out, being taken over, being run up by institutional investors, being run down by hedge funds and speculators, all to be brought up again. In my opinion I like focusing my efforts here in this steemit platform. I am not a polyanna mindless drone plugging this, I just like the safety, and solidity of the company and the intentions of its founding. Great thought provoking post thank you @viazenar!
Mmm, most definitely. One needs to keep an eye of speculation when dealing with new coin releases! This is definitely a good place to focus your energies.
