RE: Eating Habits That Can Keep You Healthy And Happy

in #blog7 years ago (edited)

Spot on! I'd like to echo the part on eating a healthy breakfast. I'm also a victim of this since many a times I've been caught grabbing a cup of coffee and white bread just before dashing to the office. Time constraints do make me do this. But I know it's not healthy. The coffee and bread gives you a quick energy boost but a few hours later you find yourself craving for more snacks as all the energy you had quickly drains from you. You find yourself grabbing another cup of coffee at 10am with biscuits or a piece of cake. For the chocolate lovers its another bar of your favorite chocolate. All these are still simple sugars which will leave you craving for more food after a few hours.

See the cycle?

You start your day with quick-energy foods and you find yourself eating more and more of these. This is unhealthy and also makes you eat more which leads to weight gain and health conditions like diabetes.

My mom always told me eat breakfast like a king because our breakfast is the thing on which our whole day depends. And eating more sugar in our breakfast is not a healthy habit. You can eat fresh fruits and fresh fruit juices instead of your coffee and white bread option. Or you can eat an apple with an empty stomach. Because we all know that "an apple a day keeps doctors away" 😁😁
