I still love this success story more than just about any other here on Steemit. No joke.
What a terrifying thing to have to face, and to wonder how to even pay for it.
"You need this surgery so you can live. It costs $X,XXX.xx."
What do you even say to that? Most people either go into a crazy amount of debt and pay for the procedure for the rest of their lives, or they say forget it and just do without. A horrible, horrible decision.

"Wow, that's a lot. Let me see what I can do."But...if you're @darthnava, you say,

community steps up and a combined effort provides tens of thousands of dollars
goes back to doctor in ONE WEEK with check in-hand and says, "Here ya go, Doc! Let's do this!"
