Good News - I did it as planned.
So I did it as planned. I quit smoking on 5th Jan 2018 (Friday). My last cigarette was on a way from work back to home. There was this advertising column on the way - I had put off my cigarette on it, and still see the black mark passing it by.
So how was it?
First 3 days were difficult, cause my hands were reaching to pocket whenever I left work or home, but found nothing. After 3rd day i stopped thinking about cigarettes, only having flashbacks when I passed another smoker.
The real test
So I went for a few beers and concert. Got a bit dizzy and really considered buying cigs on my way back home that night. Fortunately I remembered one thing: I can't buy one cigarette, I need to buy entire pack, and I will finish that pack shortly after (day or two) I bought it for sure. I didn't want to go back to what I left so happily not long ago.
How do I feel now?
It's 1,5 week since I'm not smoking now. I can smell the food I prepare, sandwiches taste better. I still cough a lot, especially in the mornings, not during the day anymore. I'm not thinking about cigarettes at all already and I don't feel tempted to buy some if I see another smoker or having a flashback of situation when I always smoked not long ago.
What's next?
More walks outside, more photos to shoot in the parks, so I can breathe fresh air. Keeping up same approach as last week, it works just fine.
I will post some more on this soon.
