This post describes the tricks inherent in big business, small scammers, sects, web developers, marketers. In fact, these tricks are so familiar to us in everyday life that we do not even pay attention to them. But, more surprisingly, it is like "taboo" in our society: everyone understands, but no one acts.
Interchangeable It is based on a simple human factor: "If you are helped, then, in the future, you will not refuse this person in his request." In this case, the fraudster offers you some gift, after which you will hear a request for the purchase of something. An example is the so-called "Hare Krishna", which gives you a flower or a book, later they tell you that you can thank them with a donation.
Assignment Just like in big business. You overstate the price, and later "give in" to the buyer. As an example, you can bring brand shops, where most of the cost is in the prestige of the brand, later, these stores can hold promotions and discounts without prejudice to themselves.
Sequence This practice is very common not only among scammers. For example, imagine a website, here you have decided to register, filled out the profile data, click the long-awaited button "complete" and jump out the window "to complete registration, enter the phone number and confirmation code," and without any warnings about it the second step of registration. Well, there is very little left to do, especially since the time is spent and the questionnaire is already filled.
Herd effect Correctly - this is the way others do in this situation. If we depart from the platitudes "millions have already tried it," then we can give a more effective example. I suggest you carefully study our group on Vkontakte, you will notice that most of the records either gain a lot of likes, or do not receive them at all, although, to each record, we come with the same perseverance and effort. Nevertheless, they are still happy for those loners who break the system;)
Prosperity and authority Indeed, we will rather buy the goods that our idols advise us, with which we are inspired and interested. We know that they are good and bad people will not advise. However, those who read I'm On Fire, knows also such a secret. If you are very interested in the fraudster, then he does not need to resort to such formalities, he can do more cunningly: "Hello, your friend Yura, advised me to contact you."
Surprisingly, sometimes we are clearly aware of fraud, for example, at points 3 and 6, but we continue to go on a leash, for the sake of saving time and nerves NOW, but few think that tomorrow will be the same. Prevent evil on yourself!
