Related parties in Saitama, in northern Tokyo in early April will begin preparing a project to offer homestay accommodation options to overseas athletes who compete at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics as well as Paralimpade.
A homestay program in Saitama Prefecture which is a venue for basketball, soccer, golf and shooting sports is also true for the paralympics. It aims to help athlete families feel safe with the lodging facilities offered while promoting intercultural exchanges, according to the official concerned.
Saitama will be the first local government to start projects to accommodatethe families of foreign athletes who compete in the summer Olympics through homestay programs, they said.
