I have been eyeing for the next google pixel phone because I know over the years, they have been improving their phones be it, camera and spec wise. The other thing I like about the google phones is that they always will receive first hand operating system updates before any other phones out there gets them. As soon as google pixel 6 was announced, the latest OS, Android 12 was also announced and I immediately fell in love with the new and minimalistic UI of Android 12. I knew it was time to change my phone to the Google Pixel 6.

Google Pixel 6 Specifications:

  • 158.6 x 74.8 x 8.9 mm (6.24 x 2.94 x 0.35 in)
  • Glass front (Gorilla Glass Victus), glass back (Gorilla Glass 6), aluminum frame
  • Nano-SIM and/or eSIM
  • IP68 dust/water resistant (up to 1.5m for 30 mins)
  • AMOLED, 90Hz, HDR10+
  • 6.4 inches, 98.9 cm2 (~83.4% screen-to-body ratio)
  • 1080 x 2400 pixels, 20:9 ratio (~411 ppi density)
  • 128GB 8GB RAM
  • Kinda Coral Variant

There are a few versions of this phone. The Google Pixel 6 and a Google Pixel 6 PRO version. Both variants come with different colour variant that you can choose. Both versions do NOT come with a charger but they provided the USB-C to USB-C cable. So remember to buy the charger separately. I would recommend the brand ANKER 45W nano-2 charger.

Google Pixel 6 (128/256GB)

  • Stormy Black, Sorta Seafoam and Kinda Coral

Google Pixel 6 PRO (128/256/512GB)

  • Stormy Black, Cloudy White, Sorta Sunny

Final Verdict

This has been my second week using this phone and it well worth it. The camera is flagship standard, similar to the Iphone Pro and Samsung S21 Ultra. The photos I took were all really good and I've never felt like that with a phone before. The UI is just amazing. Simple to navigate, easy on the eyes and no lag whatsoever because of Google's Tensor processor chip. The battery life will last me a day on moderate to high usage and charging on a 45W charger, will only take 1 hour. The price of this phone is 699USD, probably a bit pricey because I had it shipped from the US.

I highly recommend this phone to anyone who loves a good high end all rounder phone without punching a hole in your pocket. Great camera, best looking UI, premium build. I give this phone a 9/10.
