RE: Is blogging for everyone?

in #blogging6 years ago

No blogging isnt for everyone but the Steem blockchain is. The blockchain due its flexibility is for anything the imagination can conceive and all users should be catered for.
The problem.here is we have too many 'quality content providers' some of whom are too full of their own self importance and dont care about anyone elae on this chain.
Steem is much bigger than just a blogging platform and until people accept there are other ways to engage with other people and start doing so, its screwed...as we can seen from the user stats!

It's more complex than that... Yes, the content here can be anything people like and enjoy, not only long-form blog posts as long as they are not plagiarized or stolen. But user stats are what they are also because people don't feel like they are being rewarded adequately. Average user doesn't stand a chance to make it to trending page unless they buy votes from bots.
50/50 or even 75/25 curation rewards split could help change this situation and keep people using the blockchain in an organic way.
