Blue Lotus Sleep

Has anyone ever tried the herbal flower Blue Lotus to try to sleep, and has it helped?

I ask this because i've been experimenting with it recently and have not had success falling asleep on it though others claim it helps, but i feel the need to explain this further as though i did not fall asleep i was well rested. For me blue lotus puts me into a perfect state for intense deep meditation, deep enough i believe that it rivals sleep but allows one to be conscious through it.

Blue lotus is said to balance all of the chakra systems and is promoted for relaxtion and a feeeling of general well being. Looking into its profile further it seems that blue lotus is both a antagonists and agonists for dopamine, with the antagonists effects coming on first but then being beaten in time duration by the agonist which then causes a rebound surge of dopamine in the brain, somewhat like how GHB works but smoother and more natural feeling. Initially the relaxtion is felt, almost immedietly, and then later the stimulation. This seems to be why it keeps me awake, i can't get to sleep fast enough i suppose. Many people say this is why it causes intense dreams as it stimulates the brain after one is asleep.

The other quality about blue lotus is that it causes 5HT serotonin anatognism, acting like a antipsychotic medication, which helps with relaxation as well by calming over active thoughts. I don't have much to say on that except it clears the mind a good bit from all the clutter accumulated in the day.

So as i meditate all night on blue lotus the thing that i notice as well is that the flicker rate of brainwave activity in my mind, which is like a movie reel, flickers at a quick rate close to that of green tea and definitely faster than cannabis, allowing for a clearer picture of my third eye mandala to be seen. This mandala effect lasts into the next day as well, being as profound as with cannabis but again being more steady and clearer. I do not sleep the entire night and have epiphany after epiphany of thoughts to where i'm constantly grabbing my notebook to write things down or draw things, and though this seems like it happens every hour and that i'm not getting any rest i actually end up getting up in the morning earlier than i normally do, without sleeping at all but more resting and meditating the whole night through.

I find blue lotus to be extremeley interesting but cannot find many accurate depictions of its effects as most say they do not notice anything (i'm using a 50x extract). I did read that buddhist monks mix it with cannabis and another ingredient, most likely white lotus, and meditate with that as a secret blend of sort, but most accounts of its use are scarce. The egyptians revered blue lotus for everything from a psychedelic wine to a treatment for erecticle dysfunction to a general tonic of well being given for the upper class, as well as for orgies and fertility purposes, so i'd expect to find more information on it but cannot.

If anyone has these same effects with blue lotus or knows if it is ok to not sleep but be in a deep trance all night i'd love to hear your account of it's effect and the uses you use it for. The times i did fall asleep on it, one time, dreams were very lucid, but since then no luck.

I also notice that it seems to open up a sight into different dimensions which is hard to expain, like making mind over matter more possible when used for a few days straight, i swear i saw myself in the mind dimension with wings that i felt myself stretch out one time during meditation, which felt much more real than imagination as they felt like part of my body, not in my head.

Anyway interesting stuff if you've never heard of it. Thanks for reading if you did.
