This photo was taken circa 1987. At the time, I was really into BMX racing. That was a phase of my life that lasted about three years or so. I wasn't very good but I had fun. I still have the bike I raced with though it needs some serious work to be functional. Not that I could ride it. It's meant for someone with a max weight of 120 pounds and I am well beyond that now. However, I continued to ride it for several years after I had stopped racing.
This photo is from a race in Dothan, Alabama. I'm pretty sure I'm somewhere in this photo though I can't tell for sure which one is me. I actually lived in Florida but this was the closest track to me and the one that I raced at the most.
As I mentioned above, I raced for about three years. One of those years I had enough points to qualify for the state championship. I think I ended up number 9 in the state. That was the highlight of my short BMX career, lol.
