Life and The Sea

in #book7 years ago (edited)

From raging waters to the smoothest canals. Life comes from all worlds both best and worst. What I'm about to tell you is the truth of this world. The very world we live and breathe. The world we both love and despise every once and awhile.

Fishermen sit deep in thought. They are far off from the safe preferred docks. Their lives have been shaped out by the sea.
Not all shall return to the haven of the dock for; If a storm were to fall only grace of their wits would deem their survival in the great open sea of emptiness.

In a way they are like the fish which they crave so hard to catch. The fish all swimming in schools learning only by monthly storms how to overcome their hurdles thrown at random towards them.
The storm itself is like a jealous god envious at the fishermen for having the ability to float on which he created.

The storm is wrath without mercy. Only the winds are left to cradle to boats. Rocking there here and there. Sometimes it's love proved to be too much sinking both boat and fisherman.

When dawn rises and the storm has calmed the fishermen set off to the docks to sell their bounty but the journey back is not as easy as the first here.

On the way prized fish that would have earned the fisherman fortunes rots in a bin cause the fisherman made a deathly mistake to leave it in the sun. The next morning dozens of fish are tossed overboard by those who continue to keep making the same petty mistake. Half are eaten within the next weeks when rations are low.

What shame to the mighty fisherman.
When it is a cool afternoon the fishermen stop their boats to talk about ideas of faster routes on the radios they all behold under deck. Most fishermen agree with content at a short cut in life while the other small bunch disagree and set their sails forward on the current course while the others rush on a faster course.

The fishermen all arrive eventually at the docks. Those with the shorter route encountered a storm leaving most of their boats in disrepair. Only a handful of the bunch had ships close to the state they left it. The fish came early but profit was lost as most customers did not want to buy from the battered ships so the rest of the fish from the battered ships was left to rot or be eaten. Any money earned was used to repair the ship instead of to invest in the fishermen futures.

How shock overcame the early fishermen when the fishermen from the longer main course arrived with ships still intact.Customers flocked to their booths eager to buy and invest in their future so that one day they'd be able to buy the fanciest boats with stronger material to resist storms or perhaps enough to retire in luxury leaving their children wealth.

Oh how the other fishermen envied them but what right did they have to feel the way they did?Did they not all begin from the same dock? Did they not all have the same hours? The fishermen who failed may blame the sea or even an angry god testing him but it is them who set their own destinies.

We are all responsible for our fates. Let us not be like the foolish fishermen looking for an easy way to wealth for only a rare handful can achieve such as there is no easy always calm coarse in the sea. Hard work will not help you overcome your dreams. Only wisdom can truly help you in a time of need.

If you require aid in your life. Let it be from a trained fisherman so that you don't follow fools into a shorter destined to fail route that will lose you most of your fortune.

We all live by the sea as fisherman in one way or another. The worst of us are the average Anne and John Joe consumers. We all crave the fish but never take time to learn how we can catch them. Never be these people. Life will not fall into your hands. Life is not given but earned
If you want a certain life why not go into the sea and cast net taking best of life instead of meager parts others decide to share with you.

You could get dozens of fish from a fisherman but will never be a fisherman.
Life is what you make it. We all have a course. It's up to you which course you'll take.
