Kanaq's world went dark again, the concussion causing him to black out. When he came to, he was disoriented and groggy. His head pounded with a dull ache, and his vision blurred.

As he struggled to sit up, Kanaq realized that he was alone. Victor and Rory were nowhere to be seen. But something felt off, like he was being watched.

Suddenly, a faint whispering echoed in his ear. The words were indistinguishable, but the malevolent intent was clear. Kanaq's skin crawled as he scrambled to his feet.

He stumbled through the darkness, desperate to find Victor and Rory. But every step felt like a betrayal, as if he was being led deeper into the heart of madness.

And then, he saw it. A faint light flickering in the distance. Kanaq's heart racing, he stumbled towards the light.

As he approached, he saw that it was a small, dilapidated cabin. The windows were boarded up, and the door hung crookedly on its hinges.

Kanaq's instincts screamed at him to turn back. But something compelled him to push forward, to uncover the secrets that lurked within.

He pushed open the creaking door, his rifle at the ready. And then, he saw her. The niece, bound and gagged, her eyes wide with terror.

But it was what surrounded her that made Kanaq's blood run cold. Strange symbols etched into the walls, pulsing with a malevolent energy. And in the center of the room, a large, stone pedestal, adorned with ancient carvings.

The niece's eyes locked onto Kanaq's, pleading for help. But as he watched, a dark, shadowy figure emerged from the shadows, its presence seeming to fill the room.

Kanaq's finger tightened on the trigger, but as he looked into the figure's eyes, he felt a creeping sense of dread. This was no ordinary killer. This was something ancient, something evil.

And then, everything went black.

When Kanaq came to, he was lying on the floor, his head throbbing with pain. The room was silent, the only sound the creaking of the old cabin.

He struggled to his feet, his eyes scanning the room for any sign of the niece or the shadowy figure. But he was alone.

Kanaq stumbled out of the cabin, into the bright sunlight. He blinked, his eyes adjusting slowly to the light.

As he looked around, he saw that he was in a small clearing, surrounded by dense woods. The cabin was the only building in sight.

Kanaq's mind reeling, he stumbled through the woods, desperate to find Victor and Rory. But every step felt like a betrayal, as if he was being led deeper into the heart of madness.

And then, he heard it. A faint whispering in his ear, the words indistinguishable but the malevolent intent clear.

Kanaq's skin crawled as he spun around, his rifle at the ready. But there was no one there.

The whispering grew louder, more urgent. Kanaq's heart racing, he stumbled through the woods, desperate to escape the voice in his head.

But it was everywhere, echoing off the trees. Kanaq's mind reeling, he stumbled and fell, his rifle flying out of his hands.

As he looked up, he saw a figure standing over him. Victor. His eyes cold, his face twisted into a snarl.

"You'll never leave this place alive," Victor sneered, his foot raised to deliver the final blow.

Kanaq's world went dark, the last thing he heard the sound of Victor's laughter, echoing through the woods.

As Kanaq lay there, he felt a presence closing in around him. The whispering grew louder, more urgent, until it was almost deafening.

Kanaq's mind was consumed by a creeping sense of dread. He knew that he was being pulled into a world of madness, a world from which he might never escape.

The last thing Kanaq saw was Victor's face, twisted into a grotesque grin. And then, everything went black.

The darkness closed in around Kanaq, a suffocating shroud that threatened to consume him whole. He was trapped in a living nightmare, with no escape in sight.

As the darkness deepened, Kanaq's mind began to unravel. He was lost in a world of madness, tormented by the whispers of the damned.

And in the end, it was the darkness that consumed him, a darkness that would haunt him for the rest of his days.
