Anyone read this book?
It started off a bit slow but I absolutely loved it. The moral of the story was what truly opened my eyes.
Recently started reading Henry Ford's book titled "My life and Work" and couldn't help but feel like I was reading about one of the characters from the book.
The Secret...
It seems to me that the events portrayed in Atlas Shrugged are all quite real if only to some extent exaggerated and with the addition of the John Galt story line.
Henry Ford was a pioneer, a person thinking outside the box, with a focus on utility rather than making a fast buck. It's quite possibly thanks to him that we all have affordable and efficient cars to drive. He made it his quest to build the most affordable vehicle that was designed in the most efficient way at a time when many factors stood in his way. In addition, this was a period where only the rich could afford cars and they did not want or even suspect that it could turn into a luxury that everyone could afford.
Found this fascinating.
Side Note:
Elon Musk seems to be following in Henry Ford's footsteps based on his approach towards the automobile industry. Not only that, but the main production car for Ford was the Model T, released in 1909 (I believe). Tesla has the Model S .
