Amazing book. Much to the chagrin of many modern secularists, Wiker rightly diagnoses the common element of these notorious thinkers as being their atheism. Obviously this hits a little close to home for some seeing as how fad atheism is more prevalent now than in the past.
However, his impeccable logic shows how these people developed their deranged "philosophies" as a result of both their atheism and their negative experiences, especially in childhood. I use the term philosophy very loosely, since there was nothing approaching wisdom in any of their thought. Only fantasy completely detached from true philosophy which should always be grounded in reality.
The result has been that their destructive ideologies has completely brought the west to the brink of implosion. It's so sad to see just how many people, whether knowingly or not, follow these people's warped view of the world.
I can't help but recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
