Ritchie Valens is another great artist. He didn't get a lot out because he unfortuantely passed away the day the music died with Buddy Holly and Big Bopper. One of Valen's lasting hits is "La Bamba" which is mostly a 1 4 5 intervals it's really rocking.
"Oh Donna" was another lasting hit that discusses a woman named Donna. Just a typical early rock love song, but a little slow.
"Ooh My Head" is another song that you can find on youtube looks pretty cool and sounds good.
Another lasting hit "Come on Let's Go Little Darlin" people seem to keep listening to even though the music is getting older and older. It's pretty upbeat and fun.
One of my favorite Valens songs is"We Belong Together." It's an interesting common interval song with nice lyrics about a person infatuated in an intense dyadic relationship with another human being.
I loved the old tunes, i wish I can go back in time and live through that time. Actually i think about it quite often lol
Yea would be cool to check this stuff out in person if could go back in time. Maybe you will find a way or at least can escape into a digital recreation soon.

The song La Bamba is very old. And she comes from Mexico. Originally it was a dance that at weddings the couple is annealed. Gradually, the dance of the stuck word and got the song. However, it is very different from the known version. The text was not permanent and varied from case to case. However, its meaning is always the same – make friends, fall in love and don't worry – all will be well.
Nice, thanks for the history, I was not aware of that so that may explain another reason it was such a hit beyond being a great tune.

Always nice to give a face to all these old tunes that are so far before my time. They all sound familiar but it's easy to forget that there are people with stories behind them when you feel so far removed from the time. Thanks for the great post!
