RE: The @Frontrunner Guild is very profitable & @Booster makes that ecosystem works to the benefit of everyone!

Have you guys ever thought about making it impossible for someone to self-upvote using your bot? Gaming the system for profit goes against the guidelines set forth in the Steem Whitepaper, and being able to buy votes on your own content for profit is most certainly gaming the system.

I only agree with the use of voting bots to help support others, and will never upvote a post that someone has boosted themselves.

Sort:

Agree 100%, this is something that needs to be restricted careful so people can't farm votes for themselves.

It's very unlikely to happen, because the profits of all these voting bots would massively drop

There's no incentive to prevent people from self upvoting

Not sure I understand what you mean by "self-upvote using your bot" . Just like the name sounds, what booster does is to give your post a boost so it can get more attention from the whole community, I do not see anything wrong with using it for my own posts. I make content that I am confident people would love it if they get to read it, if the post is not boosted it gets seen by only a few people before being overshadowed by other posts. Nothing wrong with giving your posts a better chance, if the profits come that way then great, you deserve it.

Beside that, whether or not your post is "worthy" enough to be seen isn't exactly up to you, it's up to the community.

The only way an upvote "boost" is going to make your post more visible is if it profits and hits the hot or trending page. Upvotes alone don't put your post into more feeds.
