Hey everyone. I felt the need to remind all of you about an amazing friend of mine: Marc Fucarile. He exploded during the Boston Marathon Bombing and lost his right leg, along with most of the usage of his left leg. He still has shrapnel all throughout his body and deals with bullshit everyday due to this tragic event. Did it ruin his life? Perhaps for a moment. Markie wasn't the same for quite some time, I'll admit. What would you do if you saw your leg lying next to you on the street?
Everyday is a lesson and struggle, but Markie has been positive. He has been working to bring amputee awareness to people and has taken it upon himself to advocate for amputee athletes and amputee children. We could all learn a lesson from this guy!
All those dots in the picture are BBs, nails, and other pieces of metal that fill his body. Pretty shitty situation if you ask me. Thanks to this, he has done more and more each day to better his own life, the life of his son, and the lives of amputees across the world.
We love you Markie!
Google MARC FUCARILE. Learn more! Ask me about anything!
Thanks for reading.
Such support and do have been very great supportive
Thank you so much. He continues to work towards happiness, just as we all do. Thanks for the reply.
I really feel sorry for you. about the loss of marc. Let me talk to marc. Hopefully marc will surpass all and all good things will come to him. 😭😭😭
He is a great guy and healing each day. One of his major goals is to bring amputee awareness all over the world! Thanks again!
His pain will be turn to gain...
It has taken time. To be honest, the first couple of years were not great at all following the Boston Marathon. Markie was in the hospital for over 100 days and was back in hospitals over and over again, for months at a time. His spirit is inspiring. Thank you again for your kind words.
I hope He gets healing
Thank you very much. It takes time, but he has been healing....very slowly. His existing leg will most likely not be very much use, as he is often now confined to a wheel chair when he's out for extended time. I appreciate the sentiment! -Respect
I saw your post because I will make one about my best friend, you are an inspiration, thanks for sharing
