Hmmm good questions my friend. I have been wondering the same. When I joined I signed up for MSP, and I thought that was great until I realized the upvotes were coming from a bot and that the people "voting" on me, weren't reading my content. That caused me a moral dilemma... did the extra upvotes get me more visibility? Hard to say... But I know that the reason I am here is not for the upvotes but for sharing my content and if it's not being read by those upvotes, I don't really count that as successful. You've got yourself a big question, one which is hard to answer. I see a lot of value coming from bots but I also don't think they could or should ever outweigh the human aspect that is necessary to run this platform. I guess we'll just have to see won't we? Obviously the bots are here to stay ;)
Have a great weekend!

wow what a good comment from you, I agree with you and we should certainly have human interaction here. Following you now in order to stay in touch. Keep steeming to more success.
I guess that you have an opinion with regard to flagging / downvoting on steemit and the civil wars going on now... pls see my former blog post for more details. Wish you a blessed weekend.
Hmmm... I have seen many a post about this flagging war thing but to be honest, I have chosen not to read into it and really haven't the faintest idea what's going on! As far as flagging in general, I think it should be the responsibility of the community here to use flagging appropriately as a means of keeping the platform's content at high quality. It kind of goes hand in hand with the bots being used for good vs destroying the platform with self-serving automation. I choose to just keep my focus on the good here, rewarding the creative, engaging with the community and creating content myself in hope of inspiring others :)
Good point, wish you more success.
Thank you- and same to you my new friend :)
