RE: THIS IS FUN.

in #botsrule6 years ago

Someone has to deal with the ugly side of shit here. Shouldn't I be able to earn a little bit with my SP? Do you think using 30-40% of my voting power on myself is too much?

Sort:

What I think is that there is nothing wrong in self upvote
once or twice a day unless you are making like 10 posts a day and you upvote only your own posts abusing it like some user who have 92,5% self upvote in past 31 days.
I'm the first one to admit that I upvote myself from time to time (videos) so that they would be visible at least a bit, because I know I put a lot of work into them and that people will enjoy them.

If you have an investment in Steem, why would you not reward yourself with it? That's THE POINT OF IT!!

IMO, you should ALWAYS vote for yourself, unless you think the post is trash. But then, why would you post it?

That's my point. I know my post is awesome and I know I am not spamming specially since some videos takes a lot of time. Also - maybe it is not a lot, but for me it is - I bought around 475 STEEM to increase my STEEM POWER.
Even when I make a Stream and I "like" my own video on YouTube... i mean on SafeSpaceTube people are askng me "why you liked your own video"?
My answer: Because I like it and it is awesome? Why would you post something you don't like? Plus it is "channels activity" so it might appear on your feed again if you missed it.
When you post on busy.org you can even "check mark" an option to "like this post".

Yeah man, like bernie said, upvote yourself. Love yourself. Just don't get greedy like some do. I try to keep under 20% but I also curate #comedyopenmic so I give more to them.

I shouldn't be commenting here because my SP or reputation on steemit doesn't count. But honestly speaking from my own perspective, selfvoting isn't bad at all and shouldn't be seen as greed. Common, if you can't vote for own post, who will? If you don't like your post, who will? Some persons invested their cash on steem and using it to selfvote is not a sin for crying out loud.
Though, I would wish they also look at other people's post an upvote accordingly if they see its worth it

It's not your SP or your reputation that counts on steemit, it's your voice that counts. You can upvote every post you make. You can upvote every comment you make, but if you're not curating anything else, that's not how it's supposed to be done. Sometimes I purposely don't upvote a post I make, such as a joke, because I already know it's funny. At least I think it is. I want to know who else thinks it's funny, so I leave it up to people to upvote. If no one upvotes then I have my answer :D but you are right! Love yourself!

It's virtually true that one's voice is what counts but not entirely. Just like what is written in the bible,

Ecclesiastes 9:16 (NIV) So I said, "Wisdom is better than strength." But the poor man's wisdom is despised, and his words are no longer heeded.

I like your sense of homour. It becomes a problem and an act of greed if one doesn't upvote other people's work that one likes. At least, it's a community and community isn't made of just one person.

whole point of our stake, whoever likes us or our bloggity blogs is what it is

On my own opinion, everyone like to earn. If you can make 100posts a day and decides to selfvote, I don't see anything wrong with it if you still upvote other person's post.
Common, if you don't like your content, why post it? @carrioner
