Bouldering is so much fun - in my opinion! It has not been fun having "lockdown" (hunkering is a much nicer word) in the sunniest time of year. May is almost always the best month for weather in Scotland.
Roads and bridges are the reason that the vehicle tunnel was filled in. I suppose it wasn't worth the expense of keeping it open. It is interesting that the foot tunnel wasn't filled in (though it was closed). Maybe there's a possibility that it might be re-opened someday, like the foot tunnel in Greenwich, London, which is a very popular tourist attraction.
