Hi Bernie.
The user does not have to use your referral - what matters is who sends first the 0.0006 GB (or 0.000049 in fact) first to the new user that makes the attestation.

Be warned tho - there are already bots who monitor all comments and send the required amount as fast as possible - to basically steal your referral reward. Its really hard currently to get it because of that. Cheers!

Bos are currently being used to intercept the commission. If you want to register your name, several people will send you the 49.000. The system from Byteball and the Steem Bot is badly programmed and the system is not recommended. It is not the person who sends the new Steem user the commission but the lowest sum. 49689 byte.

The first step is to download the byte app using your referral link.

Even though the prize is tempting I really don't think I can improve on the people who have already commented. As there is no referral ID that I know of just motivating people to paste their address on your post to receive the attestation fee, should be enough for you to appear as the referral.
