Gervonta Davis VS. Ricardo Nunez

The undefeated Gervonta Davis 22-0 21KOs, made a second successful defence of his WBA super featherweight world title and maintained his perfect record, with a blowout victory against the overwhelmed and out matched Ricardo Nunez 21-3 19KOs on Saturday night, in the champs hometown of Baltimore, at the Baltimore Civic Center.

Davis was the boss from the opening bell and dominated Nunez with effortless ease, winning the first in convincing fashion, seemingly able to land punches at his own leisure while displaying masterful defensive prowess as he stayed within range and avoided most everything that came his way. In the second round, a beautifully placed crushing left hook staggered the challenger and allowed Davis to unload a punishing cluster of ferocious punches that rocked Nunez's head back and forth, forcing the ref to stop the fight at the 1.33 mark of the second round.

This win sets up the possibility of a unification bout between the 130 pound IBF champion Tevin Farmer and the 130 pound WBA champion Davis. Davis even called Farmer out in the post fight interviews.
