💫 Complete Rebranding

A few weeks ago we have received a few complaints about our logo that included the Flag of Europe which is also used by the European Union. We are thankful for the feedback and so we decided to slowly rebrand our initiative starting with the logo a couple of weeks ago.

🗣️ Community Account

Today we have also transitioned to a new community account because Hive-eu could have triggered a few people as well. We are standing for the whole European Hive community without any politics involved and we are doing our best to transport this also to the outside Hive world. The name is a combination from Hive and MeetUp and to make it prominent that this is for European meetups + for potential other projects outside of Europe we still have Europe in the name.

All posts made by the initiative will come from @HiveUp-Europe from now on.
Also the votes, comments and reblogs will be initiated by this account. Make sure to follow 😉

💰 Community Funds

We also have transferred all the funds and Hive SBI from @hive-eu to @HiveUp-Europe yesterday and announced our new community account to our partners at @valueplan. (more on this partnership very very soon!)

🫶 Community + 🎖️ Badges

Yesterday we renamed the community to HiveUp Europe and edited previous posts to fit the new information. Also the Peakd badges have been changed to the new branding.

All of our pillars and goals will stay the same of course and we are continuing to work on a European network of meetups and attendees.

As we have told you before we rely on your input and help to grow the initiative and meetup list constantly. With a more complete meetup list we will be able to serve Hivers all over Europe to find their meetups quicker. We hope to see an organic relation between the meetup organizers and our initiative so eventually a post/cross-post into our community (or a ping of @hiveup-europe from within the post) feels like a simple step of announcing a meetup in future.
