Let’s start with the Brawl updates, the last two have ended well with me winning over 50% of the battles in each brawl. Admittedly 3 people fail to put a team forward for the last brawl but this benefited me.
What I don’t understand is in the first battle there were less wins than the second brawl but I received more rewards for it???
And this is the latest.
What do I need to do to get out of Bronze, I have power of over 8000 but can’t get my rating above 200. Out of 20 battles today I think I’ve won 3. I don’t know if it’s because I’m just battling bots but it just seems that everyone is one step ahead of me. Unless I’m just crap at the game.
My win rate does not correspond to the win rate of my Brawls if on average I’m winning 50% of them then why is win rate less than 10% in my modern ranked battles? I’ve been battling all season, there is one day left of the season and I’ve only got to 143 SP over the last 13/14 days. Splinterlands you don’t make it very easy to progress in the game.

i took a look at your last fights and i think i can give you some tips
try to make sure that all your monsters can attack.
I've often seen you put Mele monsters in positions where they can't attack.
focus on one "main" monster. For example DEEPLURKER or SILENT SHA-VI. Both monsters are really strong. I usually try to build something around such monsters, depending on mana. So before that a tank e.g. CURSED WINDEKU/RIFTWING or DIEMONSHARK. Then hardly any damage happens from the front.
Try to do as much damage as you can with the mana you have. So if possible place ranged fighters or mages that can deal out well. Sometimes it also makes sense to just place monsters that can take some damage. But the feeling for something like that comes by itself.
Check out some of the top games from the Bronze series. And then ask yourself if you would have played the cards exactly the same way with the mana and conditions or not. This also helps a lot :)

Did you know that you can watch fights of other players ? Just enter the name of the player in the Battle Log and you will see the last fights of the player you are looking for :)

Today I tried your recommendations and initially this worked well as I won 6 of my first battles but then it was if AI was watching me and all of my next moves had been calculated, my win rate dropped and out of the next 20 battles I think I only won 5 of them.

I'm afraid you got into a bot session with the tactic. I know this myself, especially at the beginning of the season, accounts with (suspiciously) the same names often play their cards pretty optimally. Since one makes only very very difficult something against.
The most important thing is not to give up and keep trying.
How has it developed in the last few days? Has it become better ?
Otherwise, I can give you the advice to try after 3 such lost games to choose a tactic that is strong exactly against such formations. Because every formation can be cracked.
