I believe all lives matter. I am dismayed by this event but I am not shocked. I am not even surprised. I am not shocked when people who peacefully protest are subjected to violence from ... police.
Swartz was a big organizer in rallies against SOPA and PIPA and the DOJ abused its power to put him and his family in such an economically and psychologically position that he committed suicide. This was the guy who brought us RSS feeds. This was nothing but payback for SOPA and PIPA.
Others who are part of marches get arrested. FBI agents shooting unarmed civilians dead.
Many are subjected to tear gas and rubber bullets. I don't know, can you buy rubber bullets and tear gas? Now that peaceful protest doesn't seem to be an option in that country, can we be surprised that others are going to these extreme measures? Instead of trying to go through the democratic process they have no other option than to cast the "minority vote" (see Gangs of New York movie)
Or maybe he was an operative like McVeigh was and his act is there to hurry along this conversion of the US into the USSR.
