Thanks to the NFT boom we’re now in the GameFi season but how did we get here?
Well, typically if you have been in the space the simple answer would be that this all became possible through the cushioning dawn of DeFi, but you see...there’s more to it than meets the eye.
So typically we will be starting with;
What is DeFi?

Game-Fi.
Introducing Knight War Spirits.
What is DeFi?
DeFi (Decentralized Finance) is a blockchain-based form of finance that doesn’t rely on central financial intermediaries or traditional financial instruments.
DeFi came about as an experimental solution to solve problems like market manipulation in Crypto trading and with the result, it's garnered, DeFi has gone on to get more investors reaching a tone of 11 billion USD as of November 2020.
Components and Application.
Components-
Decentralized exchanges; Also Known as DEXs, are a P2P marketplace where transactions are made securely.
To prevent middlemen or intermediaries when trades are taking place.
Smart Contracts; This is another component in the Defi space, where what it does is carry out commands “encoded” without a central authority.
Lending and Borrowing; In Defi, lending investors put their assets to use by lending them to traders who borrow and pay back at selected or agreed dates for repayments with interests.
These transactions are only carried out by the smart contracts this way there aren’t defaults and the protocols make sure both parties are satisfied.
Gaming
Origins; Games have been a part of every culture even before the discovery of electricity.
They have commonly been pastimes in both old and new settings leaving individuals both young and old with life lessons, games with examples like Dice games, Hide and seek, Bets, and more.
Modern games;
With the coming of electricity, games progressed as well this being the coming of arcade games, Card games, Pool games, Pain gun games.
Hereby letting people chose the genre of game they’d enjoy playing.

When referring to Genre, they are kind of like books and genres they are mostly classified as ;

GameFi:
Earlier, we discussed DeFi so going by that it's easy to assume by now that you have an idea what GameFi is…
It is a digital marketplace for blockchain gamers (play-to-earn gamers), investors, and traders, in other words, it is what I can best describe as a hub that offers services to all user types.
Although Gaming-Finance has a few components that are quite similar to DeFi but unlike DeFi, GameFi combines elements like Liquidity pools, Yield farming and combines it with NFTs.
Being a unique element on the Blockchain and also the main element in the dawn of games, it has proved to serve as the rare art piece of the digitized data age.#NB: NFTs are non-fungible tokens, a unique and non-interchangeable unit of data stored on the Blockchain.
Introducing Knight Wars Spirits:
Knight War Spirits is a play-to-earn game of the “ideal defense games” genre.
Imagine having fun and earning when playing a game imbued with simple mechanics, Knight War Spirits is built on Polygon L-2 scaling solution and also on the Binance Smart Chain.
#NB: Idle defense games - they are games that are usually strategic and don’t require the player to click too many buttons as opposed to action genres.

The P2E game has two tokens Knight Wars Spirits Token [KWS] which serves as the ecosystem token and Meteor Remnant Essence [MRE(TBA)].
The Game Features :
Single-player mode.
Multi-player co-op and PVP
A simple yet engaging gaming interface.
Weapon NFT crafting.
Marketplace for NFT trading.
Token staking.
GAMEPLAY
Single-player mode features 3 màin parts…
PvE Campaign:
There will be 10 maps (more maps to come), according to 10 battlefields of The Alliance vs The Demons.
Each Map will feature 10 stages with bosses in between.
Each Stage will have a 1-3 star ranking system. Attaining 3 stars will give players the most rewards.
The further players progress, the harder the stage will become and rarer items will drop.
Once a stage is beaten, players can quickly consume “Raid Pass” to earn a percentage of the full rewards from that stage without going through it all over again.
- PvE Boss Hunt:
Once a Map is beaten, the final boss of the Map will be available for you to fight against, giving you more rewards and ingredients.
Each Boss will have a star of difficulty from 1 to 10. The higher its stars, the harder it will be along with better rewards.
Unlike Campaign, players cannot use Raid Pass in Boss Hunt.
3. Passive Rewards:
A Free Lucky Spin is awarded to players daily
Free Rewards are available after a certain milestone of game time. The more players stay inside the game, the better the rewards.
Multiplayer Features, basically this allows for player interactions which means they can compete against each other or form a team and compete against another.
Its two features are…
Player and Player Co-op vs World Boss.
World Bosses are incredibly strong foes designed to gather the strength of all players across the server.
Each player can deal damage to the World Boss to reduce its HP. Rewards will be sent to players according to their contribution percentage. The higher the HP taken, the higher the rewards.
Players who participate will receive Extra rewards if the World Boss is beaten. Extremely rare rewards will be sent to top damage dealers to the World Boss.
- Player vs Player Arena (In Development):
If you are tired of fighting Demons, put your tactical ability to the test and fight with other players.
Bring your team of 5 to the fight in a whole new auto PvP Arena mode.
There will be mock battles daily for you to practice and earn rewards before you can take on stronger opponents.
A Ranking system will decide the strongest line-up PVP and reward the top players monthly.
ENGAGEMENTS
Here, this is where we get to actually meet the characters of the game and also the part where you get to understand the mission of the game.
Being a game of strategy designed around a rich and deep NFT Weapon Crafting system the playable characters are The Archer, The Mage and The Knight. Each with its unique ability.
While playing, the game’s reward system allows the user to use power ups for each individual within the game.
WEAPONS NFT CRAFTING

This aspect of the game is based on the building or increase of the weapon of the character, this doesn't mean the character is going to be stuck on a weapon but can change them at will instead would be able to play, save to afford new weapons.
MARKETPLACE FOR NFT TRADING AND TOKEN STAKING.
This is the Finance part of the gaming ecosystem and this part is divided into:
Marketplace; Here you can buy and sell rare NFTs.
Staking; You can also earn passive income by Staking your KWS token.
Finally…
Being a game based on fantasy and adventure, there is no better game to give your curiosity an itch than this, and even though it’s not been fully released KNIGHT WARS SPIRITS has a lot of promise.
