I remember on weekends often splitting a sub $500 BTC with a a friend and putting it straight into a short Nicehash contract here and there. It was like a nerdy way to play a lottery for fun.
I didn't pay enough attention to crypto then because I was busy with my IRL business, but mostly because I remember thinking that at a PetaHash it was already too late. That I had missed out on Bitcoin.
Anyway, my point is, my experience has always been that it feels too late, that you had your chance with some earlier experience, and that it is not going to have a future now because it is so known now that regulators are gonna shut it down.
Should you ignore real world commitments and progress for this potential, probably not considering the average success, but I am certain we haven't even see the start of what is to eventually come yet.
