Tokyo Cockroach gets Exterminated... but also Respect for Putting up a Long Fight

in #bugs8 years ago

This little bugger has been teroizing our upper room for almost 2 months now. To the point where the kids wouldn't sleep up here even though it's a nice A/C room.

We've had out two cockroach hotel but this guy wasn't taking the bait. We got close a few times but tonight he was right there in front of me as I turned on the light. And it just so happened, I was hold a 2L bottle of water.

I jumped at him and he quickly tried to get under the carpet. So I held up the watter bottle, threw back the carpet and BAM. He was done!

Note: the twitches are just residual nerves. it was defnatly humanily put out of it misery.

I had to call up the boys to show them because they had been so worried about this bug crawling on them during the night.

My youngest one sorry to him but it couldn't be helped because this wasn't the place to be inside the room scaring us. He gave him a bowed to show he respected that the cockroach fought well and then he took his time wrapped up the cockroach in newspaper almost like origami.

I was more excited to finally get the little bugger (as you can see in the video). But my son told me that we need to gave him respect and honor that he fought the good fight. (gambatta in Japanese) It was really sweet.

Cute about your son but I would have been freaking out if a bug like that was crawling around my room. I would probably bug bomb the room right away because the sound just creeps me out.

You and your boys can start a new reality series call the "CockRoach Hunters" :)
