Stained Glass Effect: Sophie and Toffee Elves' Box

in #build-it4 years ago

Okay. So it had been awhile. Many of you guys are probably wondering if I am still alive or not. Barely. After all the drama that I had gone through, most of it, on my own.

I intentionally did not write anything in case it would worsen ny situation now.

Meanwhile, while all the drama in the world are going through, I have devoted most of my time exploring and teaching myself different resin techniques.

This is a stained glass effect using resin- all resin. This is the final look- when I took the picture, the resin has not completely cured yet- thus the mold.

I started with pouring some epoxy resin on a mold. I personally prefer epoxy molds now- though the curing time is very long. Its just that I can get it out of my room and cure it outside. Its safer- all in all.

The drawing came with the Sophie and Toffee Elves box.

Place the thing on top of the drawing. There is this thick resin- I do not know what it's called but I used it to trace the drawing out. It gave this effect:

I cured the piece with UV light periodically to prevent ruining the piece. I started putting on color- this is something that came up from that box too- and, well, I sort of just blended them together.

The basic principle of this, is just to apply the colors and cure them.

thanks for your support @anggreklestari . I am currently going through hard times and, crafting is my only outlet. I am so glad a lot of people are learning from it.

It is difficult in the beginning but once you get to know the basics, its going to just be a breeze.

❤️ Keep going!
